Interview Story - Solved a Problem

When I was the Route Driver at Sysco Of Toronto there was a situation where I have to deliver merchandise to a Customer before noon. My bad luck, I got stuck on 401 because of a tractor-trailer rollover. This was before everyone’s GPS. I knew that the delivery had to be on time.

Otherwise, the customer would be upset, as this was a special order.

I saw an exit coming up. I took the exit and used my map book to find an alternate route. I also called up my supervisor to let the customer know the scenario. After I took the alternate route, I was only 5 minutes late for the scheduled time. And more importantly, the order still arrived before noon, the customer’s deadline. The customer was satisfied and happy as he was waiting for the order.
