Questions to Ask When Setting Up Your Interview...

When you set the interview, here are some great questions to ask:

  • Where is the interview? (Get specifics for parking, special passes, difficult to find entryways, etc.)

  • Can you tell me the names with whom I will be interviewing? (Get their job title if possible - Research the interviewer(s) and learn as much as you can about them.)

  • Is this a newly created position?

  • How long has the position been open?

  • Should I bring anything in addition to my resume? (Always bring multiple copies of your resume.)

  • Will there be a skills test?

  • Is the interview scheduled to end at a certain time? (You can mentally prepare when you have an idea on time.)

  • Are there other positions at the company like this one?

  • Who does this job report to?

  • How many people report to the person in this job? (Management position.)

  • Can this job be performed remotely all, or part, of the time? (Only ask, if the answer would be relevant to you or the position.)

  • What days and times are available for the interview? (Day of the week and time of the day can have an impact on your success.)

  • When are they looking to hire for this position?
