How do I practice interviewing? (Mock Interview)
One of the best techniques for practicing interviews is to make up a list of questions that you are expecting (FAQ: What type of questions to expect), say 20 or 30 questions. Then find a friend or colleague and ask them to practice with you.
Meet at a location like a library, or a meeting room where you are not totally familiar and comfortable. This gives you a great opportunity to deal with nerves and feel better prepared when facing an upcoming interview.
Then ask your practice interviewer to randomly select 10-15 questions from the list and potentially make up a few questions on their own based upon your responses.
Ask for feedback once you've concluded and make adjustments. If possible, practice multiple times with various friends/family members.
You can even conduct this interview simulation, via Skype or Zoom. And work on your virtual interview skills as well.
