How can I turn my internship into a full-time job?

Interning is a great way for you to get access to a company and prove your skills on the job. What you need to do throughout your internship is repeatedly go above and beyond. Ask for additional work, beyond what they assign you, so that you can actively prove how valuable you are in the position. Build relationships with the people there; i.e. invite them to lunch, when they are busy working offer to pickup lunch for them. Find any way possible to make yourself invaluable.

About 2/3 through your internship, it's a great time to sit down with the manager and let them know you you'd love to join their team full-time. Say something like, "I've really enjoyed my experience here and would love to work for this organization full-time. What can I do at this point help make that a possibility? And to prove to you my value as a full-time part of the team?"

Create the opportunity by having a conversation with the hiring-decision maker before your internship comes to an end.
