Identifying the Interviewer...
If you didn't catch the name of your interviewer when you set up the interview (Questions to Ask When Setting Up Your Interview), here are a few tried and true methods to establishing who the hiring manager and/or interviewer is:
Call the receptionist: If you are nice and engage the person on the phone, you will likely come away with a name. It sounds easy, and sometimes it truly is as easy as making a phone call and asking for what you're looking for. You can also ask him or her for the name of a person in human resources.
Contact HR: Human Resources often knows when a position has opened up and they are sometimes even included on the upcoming interviews. Inquire about whom you will be meeting with.
Use Social Media: Use LinkedIn and Facebook to find the company and locate your possible interviewer(s). If you are on LinkedIn, you will sometimes need to do a lot of digging to identify people that are associated with the company, but it's worth the effort.
Locate the Senior Management List: Traditional research also works. When doing research on a company, oftentimes the company will have a listing of senior management. And from there, you can usually establish which department, or exact hiring manager you will be dealing with.
Network: The rule of six degrees of separation is what LinkedIn is all about. Everyone is six or fewer connections away from each other. You might find the name of a hiring manager from friends, friends of friends, acquaintances, and many other connections.
